We started our day driving to Stirling, a beautiful Scottish town with a famous castle.
The drive was fast and smooth and it only took us one hour to get there from Edinburgh. The tour around the castle was really good since it was sunny, and we took a lot of pictures.
As we started to walk to the car park, we bumped into Sheikh Hamad Al Khalifa, formerly of the Bahrain International Circuit (Formula 1), who happened to be visiting Scotland too. We spoke about Bahrain and the Friendship Arabia tour.
Then we drove north to Callendar, another very pretty town. Here we bought some provisions for lunch and drove towards Aberfoyle through the Trossachs National Park. We enjoyed our lunch at one of the many view points and picnic areas.
When we arrived at Loch Katrine, we had three choices - walking along the Loch, going on one of many Loch cruises, or cycling along the beautiful shore. We decided on the latter and hired bicycles for an hour, which meant we could enjoy the magnificent scenery at our own pace and take plenty of pictures.
It was a really good experience and also good exercise after all the driving.
The weather was sunny all day and we drove back to our accommodations.
After dinner, we made our plans for tomorrow, which included visiting Blair Castle and exploring the area.
