Ammar Hammad, whose photographs and Quicktime panoramas have received rave reviews from readers, rejoined the tour today, accompanied by another top photographer Shafiq Khalaf.
They were looked after by Visit Scotland and will spend four days exploring and taking pictures for a special book to be published after the trip.
After their arrival at the airport in Edinburgh, we drove to the MW Guesthouse, where we were met by the owner, Paul. He gave us a warm welcome, showed us around and invited us to tea, coffee and homemade fruit cake that he bakes for all his guests.
Shafiq had just bought a new camera and was itching to try it out, so we set out to take pictures. Our first stop was at the Edinburgh Castle, where we took the tour and learned about its history. Then we walked down to Princess Street and visited the National Gallery, had an afternoon snack and went back to the guesthouse.
We had dinner together at team member Petra's house in Edinburgh, before driving back to the castle to take some pictures by night.
Edinburgh is a first class tourist destination, especially for anyone interested in art, culture and history.
After Scotland, the Friendship Arabia team will start heading back for Bahrain.
