Day 16

Posted On : 16 May 2023

The last day of the trip was tiring with a drive from Khassab in Musandam, starting at 5 AM arriving home 6 pm, it is long drive but I am used to it. Looking back at start of the trip, my friends and I started two weeks ago a beautiful journey to attend Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, the biggest travel fair in the Middle East to promote Bahrain and Oman, as two beautiful destination for people who are interested in destinations with deep history, unique culture and well known for unique products, Bahrain with it’s natural Pearls and Oman with it’s Frankincense.

We spent three days in Dubai and then drove from Dubai to Fujairah, an amazing and promising destination, the history, the things you can see & do and learning more about the hiking, which is just been build, we met locals and people from different part of the world who work there, all of them share the love for Fujairah and offer their support.

After 3 days we drive to Oman, a country which I love as my country Bahrain to meet friends, who are always supported, Humaid Al Mujaini, Vijay Kumar Handa, Manuel Levonian, Rejin Thomas, Maggie Jeans, Maureen Buja and others, all of them and more share the love to this pretty country and keen to promote it.

We also drove for 3 hours to Manah close to Nizwa to visit the newly opened Oman Across Ages Museum. What an amazing place! You will fall in love with it even just to look at it from outside and when you entered you will be amazed. It has taken more 7 years to build, a must visit place when you visit Oman.

Our last destination is Musandam, it is little tricky because you have to exit Oman, enter UAE and then enter Oman from the other side.

Musandam is called the Norway of the Middle East, not because of the weather of course not, it is because of Fjords.

The Geographical location, the history, the shape, the Sea, the Mountains, the People, the Hospitality, things to See, things to Do, the Weather and more make Musandam a favorite destination for foreign peole living and visiting the UAE. It is an escape from a busy daily life, once you enter the border and enter Oman with mountain on your right and the sea on your left with your gentle drive, the first thing you should do is put the window down and you will smell and feel the sea .

Our host is the owner of Musandam Sea Adventure Travel & Tourism Abdul Fattah, a person who has a success story. He is a sea lover and from a very early age he started working with tourists, now he has one of the biggest travel agent in Musandam, and he has a Yacht which you can charter for a day, two days or more.

Our trip is promotion one but it is all about people and friendship who make the destination. In this two weeks journey, we met old friends, made new ones, with the trip came to an end, the memories will stay. To all the people who are part of the trip, people who helped, people we met and to you as a reader a big THANK YOU. Promoting My beautiful Country, Island of Natural Pearls and Oman, Land of Frankincense is, has and always subject close to my heart.
