Bahrain was fundamentally changed by the discovery of oil in 1931, and this site is the only of all museums in Bahrain that allows you to explore the country's relationship with the fossil fuel. Visitors can also check out the very first oil well in the Kingdom nearby, too.

Like most museums in Bahrain, it is open on weekdays but as it's quite a drive from Manama, it's best to call ahead and confirm it's open on the day you visit.
