Perhaps because it is much smaller than its Manama and Muharraq counterparts, Jidhafs Fish and Vegetable Market is one of the friendliest markets you’re likely to visit in Bahrain. It’s always a hive of activity and full of vibrantly coloured fruits and vegetables and exotic fish, which make it a wonderful setting for photographs. In fact, the stall holders at the market love to be photographed, so don’t be shy and ask if they mind being the subject of one or two of your shots. What’s more, grocery prices are around half that of supermarkets so your budget will go much further at Jidhafs souq.
